We are really close to the €20.000, Could you help us reach them?

First, we have to understand the type and dimension of The Horn of Africa's problem. Over 13 million people in humanitarian emergencies (source). Among them, 1,5 million children are at risk of death from hunger and disease.

You have also to understand the  magnitude of the solution. With just 40 euros a children life is saved, with 120 euros a family can be equipped with  tools, seeds and goats so they can be self-sufficient; with 360 euros a water pump can be build that will provide drinking water to1.000 personas (source).

All this information is important so you can know why are you going one step forward and make the donation. Their problems have nothing to do with ours, but we can be really helpful for them. We have to be a lot donating.
It is critical to raise awareness and tell everyone all over the world because it is the only way we will wake up once and for all. This is a  life and death issue that we can solve working together.

To donate is the easiest way to help, up in this site you have a page called "Donate" with all the different ways to do it.
As important as donate, or even more, is to spread the word. Go and tell your family, friends, your co-workers, the people at the supermarket, the people from whatever sport you practice and so on, by any mean you have, it could be email, twitter, facebook, a chat over some beers, a phone call... you can even write a letter if you still do so ;-).... but please talk about us, people at Africa will thank you for your effort.

And finally two request to the Internet:
 - We need more companies to join us, donate and spread the word. They all will be listed at "Donors". So if you know people at Human Resources or Corporate Responsibility departments please tell them about us.
 - Please help spread the word. We need to triple our size each week to reach the target... if we get big enough everyone will have much interest in seeing if we make it by the end of the year, so maybe some TV Channel will support us and decide to do a telethon to raise more funds and also lots of people and companies will join us in the very last minute.

A book cost more than 2€. Buy it, use it and remember Africa.
